Mother Annie Mae Middleton Thompson was the third child born to the late Philip Johnson & Eliza Johnson on May 12, 1929. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 28, 2025.
At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She has been a faithful member of Zion UMC for many many years. She was very active in church; serving on the Senior Choir, Missionary Board, United Methodist Women, and actively attended Sunday School. She was also active in the community and was a member of the Eastern Star No. 203 and the Home Charity Lodge.
Mother Mae was united in holy matrimony to the first love of her life, the late George C. Middleton Sr. Together they built a home filled with love and devotion. Many years after her husband’s death, she
met and married the second love of her life, the late Harley Thompson. She was a devoted housewife and caregiver. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She did not hesitate to correct you in her own loving way.
