Anthony Dwayne Bowman

Mr. Anthony Dwayne Bowman, the son of Melissa Dingle Bowman and the late James Bowman, was born on May 23, 1965. He departed this life on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Anthony was born in Brooklyn, New York, and later relocated to South Carolina, where he was raised by his beloved grandparents, Wilhelmina Dingle and the late Frank Dingle. He graduated from Cross High School, Class of 1983.

Anthony was a man of many skills and talents. He worked various jobs throughout his life, including carpentry and other skilled trades. He had a curious mind, was an avid reader, loved the Philadelphia Eagles, and possessed a very funny sense of humor that brought joy and laughter to those around him.

Anthony was the father of four children. One son, Anthony Ciemoid Bryant, preceded him in death, along with one brother, Darren Jermaine Bowman.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving mother, Melissa D. Bowman; one grandmother, Wilhelmina F. Dingle; children, Johnathan Washington, Cordealyaa Bryant, and Lesheara Bryant; two brothers, James (Sandra) Bowman and Jermaine Bowman; six grandchildren: Jhvair Shepherd, Jaleil Shepherd, Jameik Shepherd, Legend Brown, Johnathan Rahmeer, and Jasiah Malachi; one great-grandchild, Ky’erre Shepherd; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
