Bishop (Ricky) Bell, Jr. was born August 2, 1955, to the late Isabella Nelson and Bishop Bell, Sr. He entered eternal rest on February 21, 2026, at his residence in Cross, South Carolina.
He graduated from Roberts High School in Holly Hill, South Carolina, and later served several years in the U.S. Army. He devoted over 35 years of service as a contractor with Shaw, CBI, and Thompson, faithfully supporting the former Albermarle Company, now known as SI Group, until he retired.
In his free time he liked to watch Gunsmoke, Daniel Boone, and to do word search puzzles. Ricky was preceded in death by his daughter, Savannah Ricky Bell; and two sisters, Ernestine Cobbs Guest and Lyndale Reaves Blanding.
Left to cherish memories are: his devoted wife, Vanessa Wigfall Bell; one daughter, his pride and joy, Janessa Bell, of the home; four brothers, Robert (Gerlene) Jamison of Goose Creek, Jackie Bell, George Bell, and Henry Bell of Santee, South Carolina; one sister, Shelia Nelson of Santee, South Carolina; father-in-law, Edward Broughton of New York; two sisters-in-law, Kimberly Wigfall of Charleston, South Carolina and Lavinia Thomas of New York; two brothers- in-law, James Wigfall of Chicago and Philbert Broughton of New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and other relatives.
