Cahishe Denise Snell, was born on January 14, 1975, in Mt. Vernon, NY. At the age of 12 years old she relocated to South Carolina. She departed this life on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Cahise grew up in Vance, SC. She was a 1993 graduate of Holly Hill Roberts High School, a 1995 graduate of Columbia Junior College, with an associate degree in accounting, and a 2020 graduate of Claflin University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star (OES) Queen of Sheba Chapter #63 of Elloree, SC. In her early years she joined The Shepherd Outreach Ministries, where she served as a faithful usher, choir member, and Sunday school teacher. She was blessed with two beautiful children: Makaylia Shanadria Washington and Cameron Roshard King.
Cahishe was employed with Orangeburg County Special Needs Disability Board, served as a clerk for Orangeburg County Clerk’s Office, and was a Procurement Assistant for Orangeburg County until her retirement in 2022.
Cahishe was a woman that enjoyed spending time with her children and family, worshipping with her church family, taking cruises and creating memories with her heartbeats. She was always willing to help others and was a constant encourager. She brought sunshine to every room she entered.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leroy, Sr. (Catherine) Snell, one aunt, Angerine Ashby, and three uncles Leroy Snell, Jr., Henry Snell, Sr. and Jonathan Snell.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Lottie Mae Snell of the home, father, Henry Mack, Mt. Vernon, NY; children Makaylia Shanadria Washington and Cameron Roshard King of the home; a brother, Travis (Donisha) Snell, of Lexington, SC; two nieces, Trevi’ana Snell and A’Kaiya Denise Snell both of Lexington, SC; a special aunt Flossie Mack of Vance, SC; honorary parents Roscoe (Linda) Cleckley of Orangeburg, SC; five cousins reared as sisters, Dr. Andrea Snell, Elloree, SC, Melody Mack, Yvonne Gaillard, Yakenya Robinson, of Holly Hill, SC, Khayron Snell, Moncks Corner, SC; four cousins reared as brothers, Kelton Snell, of Vance, SC, Brent Snell of Gaston, SC, Malcolm Snell, of Summerville, SC and Devante Snell of Lexington, SC; two aunts, Mary Snell, of Vance, SC and Jannie (Sammie) Gaillard, of Holly Hill, SC; three uncles, Elder Benjamin (Shirley) Snell, Thomas (Alicia) Snell, and Sammie (Alfair) Snell all of Holly Hill, SC; one great aunt, Daisy Snell, of Holly Hill, SC; five God-children, Alante’ T. Snell, Lexington, SC, Alensca Waring and Janiyah Davis, Santee, SC, Kharysma Freeman, Summerville, SC, and Kyrie’ London Darby, Orangeburg, SC; one God-granddaughter, Ellaina Adgerson; special nieces and nephews, Tyrine Mazyck, Zoria Joseph, Khamaya Brown, Kendrick Joseph, William Bradshaw, Trinity Bradshaw, and Bryceon York; a very devoted friend, Selena Waring White, and a host of extended family, and friends whom loved her dearly.
