Catherine Jeanette Levine was born on August 23, 1952, to the late Paul Levine and Abby Prioleau Levine. She departed her life on Wednesday morning, November 13, 2024, at MUSC Health in Orangeburg South Carolina.
Catherine grew up in the Cross Community and attended Central/Cross High School. She was employed at Carolina Nursery and Berkeley Middle School.
Catherine Jeanette Levine accepted Christ early in her life and was a faithful and dedicated member of Jehovah AME Church where she was a member of the Jehovah A.M.E. Church Female Choir, Richard Allen Young Adult Choir, and assisted with the Sunbeam Choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Abby Levine; one sister, Nancy Williams; four brothers, Nathaniel, Abraham, Willie James, and Randy Levine; and two nephews, Julius Levine and Tydriguez Johnson Levine.
Catherine Jeanette Levine is survived by: one daughter, Joyce Levine Dingle; one granddaughter, Shemeka C. Levine; one great-granddaughter, Kaylen C. Smith; two brothers, Leroy (Carol) Levine and Carlton (Ruthie) Levine; three sisters, Lillie Mae Clark, Mary Levine, and Essia Mae Smalls; three sisters-in-law, Deloris Levine, Pearl Johnson Levine, and Glorita Levine Spann; one aunt, Dorothy Prioleau; three special friends, Donna Johnson, Mary G. Jones, and Ernestine Green; godson, Terrique Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
