MR. DARRYL WALLEY, age 59, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Eutawville, South Carolina. Born on August 12, 1966, in Manhattan, New York, he was the cherished son of the late Jacob Walley and Delores Walley.
Darryl was raised in New York City and educated through its public school system. He developed a strong work ethic early in life, which guided him throughout his career in manufacturing. His dedication and reliability were especially evident during his time at Mercedes Benz Vans, where he earned the respect of his colleagues.
He shared a deep and meaningful bond with his mother, Delores—a connection that shaped his values and view of family. Darryl’s presence brought warmth and kindness to those around him, and his generous spirit left a lasting impression on many.
He is remembered with love by his siblings: Charlotte (Larry) Stokes of Eutawville, SC, Robin (Henry) Butler of Columbia, SC, and Jacob Walley, Jr., of Beacon, NY. His nieces and nephews—Precious Brown, Mychela Capers, Khadijah Stokes, Ashley Stokes, and Jarryl Capers—will always carry fond memories of their uncle’s joyful presence.
Darryl also leaves behind a devoted extended family: aunts, Geneva Wigfall of Cross, SC, Debroah (Kevin) McCarty of Orangeburg, SC, Brenda Wigfall and Shirley Wigfall of Cross, SC, Christine Wigfall of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lucille (Kevin) Robinson of NC, Marie Packer of NY, and Beatrice Wigfall of Charleston, SC; uncles, Ceaser Walley and Leroy Wigfall of NY; along with many others who held him dear.
Darryl’s life was a quiet testament to love and the enduring strength of family. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived.
