Frederick Rashawn McClatchie passed away on August 2, 2025, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, at the age of 34. Born on September 6, 1990, in Orangeburg, SC, his life was a radiant thread woven through the hearts of many.
He was the beloved son of Michelle McClatchie of Vance, SC, and Frederick G. Perry of Orangeburg, SC. He was a hard worker who persevered. These traits enabled him to become a business owner of “Above The Rest Mobile Detailing and Landscaping”.
His roots were nourished by the love of his grandparents: Albert and Jane Perry of Elloree, SC; Adell Jackson of Vance, SC; and Carlton G. McClatchie of Trinidad.
Frederick found profound purpose in fatherhood and leaves behind two children: Kamari Canty of Jacksonville, Florida, and Kingston McClatchie of Orangeburg, SC. The bond he shared with them remains an enduring light.
His spirit echoed in the lives of his siblings: Davon M. Brown of Vance, SC; Zion McNeal of Jacksonville, FL; Zane E. Hartfield of Palm Beach, FL; Kanisha Kinley of Elloree, SC; Tamera Hampton of Daytona Beach, FL; Kaley Grace Schwartz of Smyrna Beach, FL; Frederick M. Perry and Cederick T. Perry of Orange City, FL; Kobe D. Perry of Port Orange, FL; TiAndria J. Perry of Vance, SC; Lashawn Canty of Santee, SC; and Amaya Mattie Michalak of Ormond Beach, FL.
His extended family also held him close to their hearts—his aunts Tiffney Perry of Sumter, SC; Regina (Raymond) Gonzalez of Nanuet, NY; Marchelle (Greg) Simmons of Chicago, IL; Dulcina McClatchie of New York—and his uncles Carlton L. McClatchie of Vance, SC and David McClatchie of New York.
From South Carolina to Florida and beyond, Frederick’s presence rippled through countless lives. Though his time was brief, his memory remains a steady flame in the lives he touched.
May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
