Kristie Linette Wright-Frelot died unexpectedly at her home in Fort Mill, SC on 30 March 2024. She was born in Orangeburg, SC July 30, 1977, the daughter of Mrs. Rebecca Alfair (James) and Joseph Wright, Sr.
She graduated from Holly Hill Roberts High School (Class of 1995). Following graduation, she attended her beloved North Carolina A&T State College (Aggie Pride!) where she completed her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Economics. Shortly afterwards, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and she also completed her MBA and ABD, Political Science from Clark Altanta University.
On April 16th, 2011 "Lime Light" (Kristie), crossed the burning sands into Delta Sigma Theta land as the line president of the Spring 2011 line of the Lancaster Alumnae Chapter. Ever since that day, she has been rocking the crimson and cream and representing the devastating ladies of DST with style and grace.
In March 2013, she met Wyatt who would become her devoted husband for the first time on a sunset cruise in Annapolis Harbor near the US Naval Academy. Shortly afterwards, they were married in Richmond, Virginia in June 2014. In 2017 she gave birth to the “apple of her eye”, Kai.
She was predeceased by her parents. Surviving in addition to her husband (Wyatt Frelot), daughter Kai Frelot, brother Joseph Wright (Glenda) of Blythewood, sister Karen Washington (Rodney) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, two nieces, three nephews, and supportive aunties and a host of loving family members.
