Robert “Bobby” Benjamin Haskell was born December 30, 1964, to Richard and Hattie Haskell in Manhattan, New York. He departed this life on the afternoon of Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, in Elmira, New York.
Robert grew up in Manhattan and attended public schools. He enjoyed watching a variety of sports and had a great love for music, which was always a big part of his life. Robert also had an eye for fashion and took pride in his clothes. He was also a fan of the classic TV show Sanford and Son and enjoyed watching reruns. He had a passion for cooking, especially his signature Chinese rice, which he loved to share with others.
Robert was preceded in death by his two sisters, Denise Haskell and Felicia Haskell.
Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his beloved parents, Richard and Hattie Haskell of Eutawville, SC; two brothers, Elroy (Jemel) Haskell of Bronx, NY and Rashawn Haskell of Charlotte, NC; one nephew, Elroy Ellison of Manhattan, NY; five aunts, Louise Robertson of North Augusta, GA, Liza Ferguson of Eutawville, SC, Ruthie Mae Brown of Eutawville, SC, Lavern (Josh) Dailey of Eutawville, SC, Betty Gathers of Union City, NJ; six uncles, Joseph Dingle of North Augusta, GA, Harry Lee (Mary) Brown of Eutawville, SC, Michael (Janet) Brown of Eutawville, SC, Roy Brown of Eutawville, SC, Johnny (Angela) Brown, Jr. of Bronx, NY, Freddie Brown of Gadsden, AL; a host of cousins, and friends.
His spirit and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
