Walter Bennett

Mr. Walter Bennett was born in Cross, SC July 31, 1955. He entered into eternal rest December 10, 2024, in Kingston, NY.

He is the eldest son of the late Isaac and Ernestine Gavin Bennett. Walter attended the New
York City School System where he graduated from Eli Whitney High School. Walter worked several jobs as a construction worker, maintenance worker and as a cook for Camp in Monsey, NY. He also volunteered at the Mission Church in Kingston, NY.

Walter loved to watch classic TV shows and movies as well as listening to music. His favorite pastime was to sit by the pond watching the ducks.

Walter is survived by: his brother Ronald (Marjorie) Bennett of Brooklyn NY, Sister Ronell Davis of Cross, SC; Aunts: Rilla Mae Blowe of Summerville, SC, Rebecca Waiters of Delaware, Pernell (Marion) Pringle of Ridgeville, SC; Uncles: Eddie (Wilhelmina) Gavin, Leroy (Blondell) Gavin of Cross, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Earnestine Gavin Bennett, Father, Isaac Bennett, brothers Isaac Gavin, Michael and Curtis Bennett.
